First pictures

Hi everyone.

At last I have some pictures for you...

Please follow below the link to the article in French to see some pictures of work done during my training.

This work was therefore produced under some very specific conditions, and may not be fully representative of my future own/personal production. However these pictures can give you a flavour what I have done.

The work still has many inperfections, but I really enjoyed making these items, and I am very happy to present them to you.

The little label "5 cm" gives you the scale as it really measures five centimeters ...

Your comments will help me improve.

Many thanks.

Please take care.

This is therefore a major milestone !

After these very busy months, I will now enjoy a break during the summer, before starting the next phase of the plan in September.

I will then post more articles and photos...Please stay tuned.

Please take care.

Converting "Impossible" into "Possible"

After 30 years as an employee of American multinational companies, I am now converting to a brand new life : becoming a self employed craftsman as a ceramist potter, creating, manufacturing and selling my ceramics, and also teaching pottery courses.

This may be seen as a bold move, involving :

  • Switching from high-tech/IT with often virtual results to a manual activty with clay and fire.
  • Converting a hobby into a job.
  • A significant reduction of my income.
  • Dedicating my time to a craft and art related activity focusing on creativity.
  • Developing and sharing a manual knowhow in the local economy and social neighbourhood.
  • Eventually moving out of the Paris area, to the country side.

So yes, there will be some potential challenges, but at least I will have the satisfaction of merging my life and my real passion !

Through this blog, I plan to share this adventure, as I gradually progress shifting from "impossible" to "possible". This is my way to thank all those who helped me kicking off this project, and also perhaps an encouragement for more people to try the same !

In all cases your supporting comments are always touching me quite deep.

Many thanks to all.
